MTN JOYOUS CELEBRATION is fulfilling the dreams of people, young and old, who aspire to make it big in the cut-throat gospel industry.

South Africa’s most celebrated gospel ensemble will wind down the national tour of its 19th offering, which is titled Back to the Cross.

The show will be held at the University of the Free State’s (UFS) Vista Campus in Bloemfontein on Saturday, 12 September.

The group will not only bless the audience with gospel sounds, but will be giving Bloemfontein’s talented singers an opportunity to be part of the Joyous 20 cast.

“The Back to the Cross tour has been a wonderful journey for us and we have travelled to numerous cities – selling out each show,” says Jabu Hlongwane.

“We appreciate the support and love of our Joyous supporters.”

“We can’t wait to be with our supporters in Bloemfontein and they can expect their souls to be revived with our joyous melodies.”

After nearly two decades at the pinnacle of the music industry, MTN Joyous Celebration continues to break new ground and reach milestones.

“Joyous Celebration continues to redefine the South African music landscape and this 19th tour has been nothing short of spectacular,” said Larry Annetts, chief sales and marketing executive of MTN South Africa.

“We have rewarded our loyal customers throughout the tour and brought them closer to their passion for music through our Download and Win Campaign that will conclude in Bloemfontein.

“We urge loyal fans of the group to fill up the Vista Arena and enjoy the class act that is Joyous Celebration.”

Those who want to be part of the Joyous 20 cast, can register via SMS to participate in the auditions.

The contestants should send an SMS to 38054 with their name, ID number and indicate whether they are registering as vocalists or instrumentalists, and indicate the type of instrument they play.

SMSs are charged at R10.

Applicants will need to come with the reference numbers that they will receive after they have registered.

The SMS line is open and will close on 9 September at 12:00. Shortlisted and successful candidates will be informed at the end of September.

Meanwhile, tickets for the show are available at Computicket outlets for R200
