Qualifying fixtures on TV

FOOTBALL will flex its muscles this weekend as the world braces itself for the Copa America showpiece. The African showpiece will also see the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Having confirmed its broadcast of Copa America, a tournament for South American national teams, SuperSport has also ­announced eight top African qualifying fixtures – that include powerhouses Zambia, Nigeria and Ghana – for broadcast, conclusive proof that the season never ends.

South Africa’s fixture against Gambia on Saturday (13/06) will also be live on the World of Champions, SS4, from 14:30.

Other fixtures for broadcast on Saturday (13/06) are:

) Malawi vs Zimbabwe (SS3, 14:15);

) Nigeria vs Chad (SS3/Select 1/Select 1 Go, 16:30);

) South Africa vs Gambia (SS4/SelSA, 14:30);

) Zambia vs Guinea Bissau (SS9, 14:45); and

) Angola vs CAR (Max 1, 16:15).

Sunday’s (14/06) TV fixtures are:

) Mozambique vs Rwanda (Max 360, SS3, 14:50);

) Congo vs Kenya (SS9E/SS5 (A/N), SS4 (SA), Select 1 and Select 1Go, 16:15); and

) Ghana vs Mauritius (SS3, 17:15).

Chief among the continental stars being showcased are Atusaye Nyondo and Gabadinho Mhango (Malawi), Knowledge Musona and Cuthbert Malajila (Zimbabwe), Ogenyi Onazi and Ahmed Musa (Nigeria), Thulani Serero and Tokelo Rantie (South Africa), Emmanuel Mayuka and Rainford Kalaba (Zambia), Victor Wanyama and McDonald Maringa (Kenya) and Asamoah Gyan and Jordan Ayew (Ghana)
