Support a worthy cause and win

THE seventh Engo for Our Children Project, a fundraising initiative in which a brand-new Chevrolet Spark Campus can be won, is still open for public participation.

In order to participate, members of the public must make a donation by purchasing a ticket for R20. By making this R20 donation, you are immediately entered into the Chevrolet Spark Campus lucky draw. The Chevrolet Spark Campus is worth R119 500.

Tickets for the fundraising project can be purchased at all Engo Centres across the Free State and at the information desk at Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein. Ticket sales close on 20 November this year.

Five finalists will be drawn and announced by PricewaterhouseCoopers on 11 January 2016 with one lucky person taking the ultimate prize of the vehicle.

The four remaining finalists will each receive a prize worth R2 000. This annual fund-raising project is run by Engo in partnership with Volksblad’s Central Local Newspapers, Imperial GM Bloemfontein and Radio Rosestad for the benefit of Engo Free State.

The goal of this initiative is to generate additional funds for children in Engo Child- and Youth-care Centres, as well as children in foster care.

The initiative saw almost 4 000 children benefiting last year.

Engo Free State consists of six sub-programmes, which include child- and youth-care centres. In 2014, the government subsidised only 26% of Engo’s total income, so this project is critical for the survival of our centres.

Several promotions are underway across the Free State where tickets will be sold to members of the public.

De Wet Claassens, director of management support services, encourages all readers and the public to open their hearts by supporting the fundraising project.

“One can just read the newspaper to become aware of the misery in the world. Please buy your ticket and strengthen our hands here at Engo to bring hope in the lives of 4 000 children.”
