DETECTIVES of the Kagisho South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Northern Cape are on the look out for two rape suspects.

This follows an incident on 8 September at about 00:00.

Allegedly a 31-year-old woman was walking in Gugulethu Street, Tswelelang, when she was approached by two suspects.

Lt. Donald Mdhluli revealed that the woman had been assaulted and raped by the two suspects, who fled the scene. The victim alerted the police about the incident. A case was opened and an identikit of one of the suspects was developed.

The suspect on the identikit is a black male, is dark in complexion and is suspected to be in his 30’s. His height is about 1,8 m and he is of medium build. The investigating officer, Det.Sgt Kennedy Masao, can be contacted on 082-495-4625. Community members can call 10111 or Crime Stop on 086-001-0111. SMS messages can be sent to 32211
