GOT TALENT competition, searching for future stars, reaches an exciting climax this weekend (9 May) with the staging of the semi-final. This will be in the Goldfields Mall’s Piazza in Welkom.

The semi-final, which paves the way for the grand finale on 23 May, is the culmination of auditions the past three months which saw the organisers criss-crossing the Goldfields, searching for the next big thing. The talent search initiative has come down to only 12 acts in this year’s Welkom’s Got Talent Competition.

The semi-final will take place on Saturday (09/05), featuring an amazing line-up.

They are, in alphabetical order:

) Alicia Theron (female singer)

) Brown Zongolwa (female inger)

) Katleho Ramakoae (male singer)

) Goodness Mokau (female singer)

) Hope A Capella (male a capella group)

) Lee-Anne Venter Haywood (female singer)

) Neo Hlohlongoane (poet)

) Osama Bin Singing (male singer)

) Phlyvocals (male singer)

) Ragamuffinz (Rock group)

) Thabang Selikoe (female singer)

) Undefeated (Pantsula Dancers)

The semi-final on Saturday will see eight contestants chosen for the grand final on 23 May. The top eight acts to compete in the final round will be based on 50 percent community voting and a 50 percent judges’ vote. This offers the public a chance to show support by voting for their favourite contestant via two options made available to cast their votes:

An in-centre voting station will be placed at the Guest Relations Desk (Goldfields Mall entrance 2) and will open at 13:00 on Saturday (09/05), or you may like the photo of your favourite act on Goldfields Mall’s facebook in order to cast your vote (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Goldfields-Mall).

Please note that a maximum of 1 vote per person per act will be counted.

This year’s ultimate winner can look forward to the following amazing prizes: R20 000 in cash, R5 000 in fashion vouchers sponsored by Just Property Group Goldfields Mall as well as the opportunity to perform as an opening act at one of Goldfields Casino’s scheduled concerts within six months after winning the contest. All sound requirements for the performance will be arranged by the casino as well as any other costs relevant to the performance.

This competition is proudly brought to you by Goldfields Mall, Vista and Express newspapers, Goldfields Casino, Coca-Cola, Tshebo Media, Dela Casa Productions and Just Property Group Goldfields.

For any queries, contestants may contact the Goldfields Mall Centre Management Office on 057 352 4251 during office hours.
