MIGHTY STARS from Qwaqwa finished third at the recent Thabo Mofutsanyana Netball Challenge in Senekal.

SENEKAL. – Oud-Skoliere, a netball team from Bethlehem, were the champions of the Thabo Mofutsanyana Netball Challenge which took place in Senekal recently.

Oud-Skoliere won the tournament after they had beaten the Senekal netball team by 25-8 in the final of the tournament.

They won the Setsing Super Spar floating trophy while Senekal gained the silver medal in the competition.

The Mighty Stars from Qwaqwa finished third and they got bronze medals with Seven Stars from Ladybrand finishing fourth.

In total, 11 teams from the region took part in the tournament that started in July. The TMD Netball Challenge was organised by the Thabo Mofutsanyana District Netball Committee and it is planned to be an annual event going forward
