Actors needed for two plays

2017-01-18 06:02

The Mmabana Cultural Center in Thaba Nchu (studio one) is hosting auditions over two days to scout for actors for two plays – Choices and Monaheng.

Auditions start on Thursday (19/01) and will end on Friday (20/01).

On both days, the auditions will take place from 10:00 to 16:00.

Men and women between the ages of 18 and 48 years are welcome to try it out.

Learners will not be allowed to audition for any of the two plays.

Choices is written and directed by Lerato Mofubelu, a senior drama conductor at the Mmabana Cultural Centre.

The story is about a young girl, Lesedi, who was raised by her grandmother. She later moved in with her parents after the sudden death of her grandmother.

Monaheng is directed by Kagisho Rampai.

The play follows productive workshops conducted late last year by the Mmabana Cultural Center.

During the workshops, participants were mentored on writing stage plays.

For more information, call Rampai on 063-182-1131 or Mofubelu on 073-472-4819.
