Young entrepreneurs are encouraged to change their mentality that Kimberley is a small town that does not offer opportunities.

This is according to Motheo Manaka, a young South African entrepreneur and business advisor based in Kimberley.

He launched an entrepreneurial blog on his social media platforms that aims to encourage more people to be entrepreneurs and business leaders who will make a difference in their communities. He also wants to educate people about their fiscal responsibility.

He is the founder of Manaka Productions, a company that hosts annual events such as the 053 Concert and Kimberley Schools pageant, and promotes artists such as A-Reece, The Wrecking Crew, Okmalumkoolkat, Shane Eagle, DJ Shimza and Thando Thabethe.

I am bringing my print edition blog closer to home because of the mMany matriculants school year who aspire to be business leaders move away from Kimberley to big cities to seek better opportunities,” Manaka says.

“They say Kimberley is small and does not offer many opportunites.” As an established entrepreneur or start up,” adds Manaka

He emphasises that the days of using living in a small town as an excuse are over.

“Yet the world has changed, and we are all connected. Every small town has access to the same seven billion people. It comes down to who can identify a need. or want to serve in an effortless manner This is by far the easiest time to make money – all you need is a vision.”

According to Manaka, the degrees of separation are smaller, there are better tools and a bigger reach, and cheaper ways to market yourself than ever before.

One thing he believes will never change, is the need for leaders who are willing to work hard to improve themselves and their environment.

Manaka interacts with followers on Instagram at manakaproductions or motheomanaka, and on the Facebook page Manaka Productions Pty - Ltd.
