All-rounder Justin Pieterse (16), a learner of the Dr Böhmer School in Bloemfontein, has been chosen as the Express SuperSport Let’s Play Sports Star of the Month for August. He was chosen for his achievements in athletics, rugby and cricket. At the Athletics Free State meeting, Justin obtained a gold medal in both the 100 m and 200 m sprint for u.16 boys. He got gold medals in both sprint events. Justin was also chosen for the u.16 Free State rugby team. His rugby prowess saw him selected as captain of the development team.Justin’s inclusion in the u.19 Free State Cricket team proves that he is an all-rounder in sport.This team competed in a tournament in Sasolburg from 16 to 18 August, after which Justin was named as the player of the tournament. He was also chosen for the provincial u.19 cricket team, which will compete at the national competition.Justin’s motto is: “Trust, discipline and respect”.
