There are no limits for artistic Oregolele Finger (20) from Bloemfontein. He is a second-year graphic design student at the Central University of Technology.

Although he is into graphic designing, Finger does not want to be defined by only one thing.

He is not only a graphic designer focusing on graphic designing, he is also a creative director.

He has amazing creative skills reflecting his nature.

He is involved in filming, photography, modelling and fashion. All of these can clearly be seen from his dramatic clothes and creative work.

“My work is unique because I try very hard not to put myself in a box, I do whatever I want. It is an expression that makes my work unique, most artists are afraid of doing that.

“Everything happens for a reason, whether good or bad. So, whatever happened was meant to happen,” said Finger.

He believes that the internet has helped to expose himself to the world to grow, to network and open business opportunities. According to him, the use of social media for exposure is important.

Finger believes that he is both a creator and an artist. “It is because I can express myself and create content at the same time.

“Everything that involves creativity and expression, is art to me. It is a tool that gives us the power to freely express how we feel, be about politics, gender or life,” said Finger.

His dream is that in five years, he should have his works on exhibition at major galleries, working with established fashion brands and owning his independent creative studio.

“Talent and hard work go hand in hand. I have been an artist since I was six years old. I had to work hard to enhance my skills,” he said.

“People should not always work for money. They should sometimes try to create content for free,” said Finger.

Finger encourages fellow visual artists to work hard and never let anyone tell them what is right or wrong in art.
