Singer Thabo Pitse and conductor Alexander Fokkens will anchor the Free State Symphony Orchestra (FSSO) concert taking place on Wednesday (11/07) and Friday, 13 July.

Part of the Vrystaat Kunstefees 2018, the orchestra concert will be presented in the Odeion at the University of the Free State (UFS).

Let It Go is the title of the event, and it is suitable for the whole family.

The programme includes Haydn’s Toy Symphony, which the audience can partake in with their own makeshift instruments, like rattles, shakers or drums.

The audience will also be treated to a range of songs from movies like Frozen and The Lion King.

Other works to be performed are “Be our guest”, “Radetzky March”, “The Whistler and his Dog”, “The Typewriter” and South African music like “Thula” and “African Dream”.

The event is set to start at 10:00 on both days.

Tickets cost R60 at Computicket or on the site, online.computicket.com.
