Baroka extends lead

JOHANNESBURG. – Baroka FC extended their lead at the summit to four points; AmaZulu drew with Santos, while Mbom­bela United heaped more misery on Mthatha Bucks in the National First Division (NFD) action on Sunday (22.11).

Baroka edged out Cape Town All Stars 3 – 2, with in-form hitman Thabiso Kutumela striking twice to take his tally to 12 goals for the season. Igugu Lekapa dropped to third spot on the log following Spurs’ 2 – 1 win over Black Leopards on Saturday.

AmaZulu threw away a two-goal-lead in a 2 – 2 stalemate with Santos.

Bornwell Mwape and Petrus Shitembi netted first for Usuthu, but Shaun Sopio and Iqraam Rayners equalised in the Mother City.

High-flying Mbombela beat bottom club Bucks 3 – 1, courtesy of a brace from Bednog Manyike and goal from Inky Masuku.
