TOP local models vying for the Miss Windmill Bloem Show 2016 Pageant are gearing up to display their catwalk strut at the grand final on Thursday, 28 April.

Nine contestants, aged 18 to 24, vie for the main crown of the extravaganza pageant, which will also see prospective future models compete for the Little Miss Daisy (girls aged three to five) and Little Miss Bloem Show (girls six to ten).

The contestants in the three categories were narrowed down to the required number of ten in each category at a preliminary event held last month.

This year’s winner in the main category of Miss Windmill Bloem Show is guaranteed exciting prizes to the value of R10 000. The pageant staging is made possible by E-models and the Windmill Casino. It offers the contestants the platform to realise their dream to compete at top level. The Miss Windmill Bloem Show is also a stepping stone towards Miss Free State and Miss South Africa.

The Little Miss Daisy and Little Miss Bloem Show offer prizes to the value of R1 000 each. The final round of the two events will be held on Wednesday, 27 April, and will see ten contestants in each category competing for the crowns. The two pageants for the upcoming models pave the way for the main category, Miss Windmill Bloem Show Pageant on 28 April at the Bloem Show Ground.

The extravaganza pageant will mark the official opening of this year’s Bloem Show set to start on 27 April and ending on 7 May.
