2016-04-27 06:00

ARTISTS interested in entering the New Breed Art Competition are invited to attend a non-compulsory information session at the Oliewenhuis Art Museum, situated at 16 Harry Smith Street, Bloemfontein, on Tuesday (03/05).

The session will provide artists with information about the competition which offers R100 000 in prize money.

The session will be from 15:00 to 16:00.

Entries are to be submitted from 5 to 11 September.

This is an initiative by Phatshoane Henney Attorneys in partnership with the Oliewenhuis Art Museum.

The competition is open to all South African artists aged 18 years and older who reside in or are primarily living in the Free State. Candidates should have not held a solo exhibition at a commercial gallery involving more than 20 works.

After first-round shortlisting, selected artists’ work will be exhibited at Oliewenhuis and also profiled on the website from 20 October with the prize-giving function on 17 November this year.

The winners and selected artists’ work will be featured in the Phatshoane Henney Attorneys 2017 calendar for clients and their monthly newsletters reaching South Africa’s top corporate, institutional and governmental clients for 12 months.
