BOHLOKONG. – The annual awards ceremony of the Motshepuwa Primary School in Bohlokong near Bethlehem was recently held in the school hall.

The ceremony, which was aimed at motivating and awarding learners who had worked hard throughout the year, was attended by parents who came to witness the success of their children.

The learners were awarded both academically and in sport. There were also special awards distributed among the chosen few.

Lali Mosia, head of the Mathematics department, said the awards motivated learners ahead of the final examinations.

She said the school had been producing good results since the introduction of the awards.

“There has been competition in all the grades, because every learner wants to be on a podium to collect an award,” she said.

She said they had invited only the award-winners, because they wanted others to be challenged and work hard in the next year in order for them to be invited to the ceremony.

“I want to congratulate all the winners. They should keep up the good work that they have been doing. To those who did not win today: You should go back and start to do things the right way. I hope to see different faces on the podium next year,” Mosia said.
