The police in Botshabelo are requesting public assistance in finding the next of kin or family of a woman who reportedly died in a road accident on 25 October 2017 on the N8 near Botshabelo.

The deceased is believed to be from Lesotho.

Sgt. Martin Xuma, Botshabelo police spokesperson, said the deceased’s body was being kept in the state mortuary.

He said the fatal accident had occurred at about 20:30, killing two of the four occupants of the vehicle, a metallic blue BMW 3 series with Lesotho registration.

Xuma said a male victim has already been identified by his family from Lesotho.

He said the deceased woman is estimated to have been between 25 and 35 years old.

Xuma said initial information had led the police to believe that the deceased woman had been renting in Phahameng, Bloemfontein.

“However, the police could not get more details about where the woman originated from and about family in Lesotho,” said Xuma.

Anyone with information about the family of the deceased in Lesotho, or perhaps her next of kin in South Africa, is requested to contact the investigating officer, Det.WO Tshediso Makhothi, on 051-531-5813 or 078-110-3464.
