Writer Lebo Monchosi, hailing from Pampierstad in the Pho-kwane Municipality, will be launching her first book, Together we can parent, in Johannesburg on Saturday, 13 May.

This is an inspirational guide for parents who are raising children while living separately.

The book outlines some of the experiences Monchosi went through being a single mother of two children.

In the synopsis of the book, she elaborated that it was specially written to outline the principles that lead to better parenting.

She reflected on some of her own experiences she went through and how she managed to use faith to stand tall and win against the odds of being a single parent.

Monchosi also reflected on how to create a healthy relationship with the other spouse.

“Chapters like ‘Conscious Parenting’ describes how you can be a conscious parent who has knowledge and understanding on how to treat your children even through their own differences,” she said.

The book further highlights angles on how inspired one has to be in order to inspire others.

Monchosi narrated about changing your mindset in the chapter “Changing Mindset” as a way to show parents that children need a special mindset that will help them grow in a healthier family and surrounding.

Other chapters are, among others, “Affirming Parent”, “Practicing Parent Makes Permanent”, “Turning Rejection Into Direction”, “How to Break Off the Worries and Defeats” and “How to Parent by Faith and not by Sight”.
