The Bloemfontein Celtic women’s football team play host to lacklustre Richmond Ladies from the Northern Cape in the Safa National Women’s League fixture in Bloemfontein.

The match will take place on Saturday (01/02) at 15:00 at Siwelele Park.

This is a return match which the host, Celtic, would want to win to consolidate their position on the log.

In the first leg of the competition the home side won by 5 - 2.

The fixture was played last November.

The visitors from Richmond have found the going tough in this league.

They won just two matches since the start of the season while their opponents boast 11 wins from 16 matches played.

Richmond Ladies are presently rock bottom in the 12-league clubs’ competition which is expected to finish in March.

Presently Celtic is third on the log with 35 points and look certain to finish in that position after they suffered a crucial lost with 2 - 0 to Tshwane University of Technology in a league fixture played a week ago.

The loss has deterred Celtic’s chance to challenge for the championship, which is destined for current log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns.
