The Bloemfontein Celtic women’s football side is running away with the title of the Free State leg of the Sasol Women’s League. The team look set to extend the record of winning the provincial championship ten conse- cutive times this year. Such success will continue the team’s dominance in the Free State.Last year’s second place achievers, Ace Milan, and the third position winner, Tsunami Queens, will fight for the left overs. The two teams are seven points adrift.Queens are in second place while Milan are in third position. The team finishing in second place will get R30 000 plus a silver medal, while the third position winner will receive R25 000 plus a bronze medal.Grassland Ladies look set to finish in fourth position, better off than the previous year, and they will receive R20 000 for their effort. They had a dismal run last year, finishing in the bottom eight of the 16 clubs in the provincial stream of the competition.
