MARITZBURG UNITED have further strengthened their squad by signing striker Gregory Maasdorp and left-back Tumelo Mogapi Z both from Bloemfontein Celtic. The duo have re-united with coach Erns Middendorp and his assistant Fadlu Davids, who worked with them at Siwelele Park.

Maasdorp expressed his delight with joining the KwaZulu-Natal outfit. Mogapi said he was excited to join the relegation-threatened United.

Both Maasdorp and Mogapi will be available for selection when United host Mamelodi Sundowns at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday, 30 January, at 20:15.

The struggling Celtic will have a mountain to climb when they face the high-flying Bidvest Wits at the Dr Rantlai Molemela Stadium on Sunday. The match starts at 15:30.

Celtic have lost two fixtures they hosted at the venue. Phunya Sele Sele were brought down 1-0 by Sundowns, before they were humbled 2-0 by Mpumalanga Black Aces.
