Change is coming in South Africa

2016-08-10 06:00

GERTRUDE LETOOANE, Harrismith:

I READ an article which stated that Jacob Zuma threatens to spill the beans of how he has been treated unfairly.

Zuma said that he was uneducated yet he is the president of South Africa.

Something he forgot to mention was that he was not entirely elected by the people of South Africa, but by a bunch of cadres in the ANC.

I also want to remind him that South Africa has far better people who are able to lead and govern than his party.

Look at the mess the country is in today because of stupidity.

Zuma said that it is wrong for black people to vote for the DA.

I feel ashamed that a man who is the president of our country should make such remarks.

When white people vote for the ANC, it is right, and when black people vote for the DA, it is not right?

This is democracy and anyone has the right to vote for a party of his or her choice.

I am a black person and if Zuma boasts about being the president, he should strive to bring the people of Mzansi together, like Nelson Mandela did.

Mr Zuma, you cannot write your own speech like your predecessors.

You have only your own cadres to thank for being president and not due to anything good you did for the people.

Many of us are living in poverty while your family swim in a pool of money.

R250 million, meant for these poor people, was spent to build Zuma’s mansion in Nkandla.

I will always respect Madiba as my hero and president, but not Zuma.

Madiba once said that if there are dreams about a beautiful South Africa, there should also be roads that lead to that goal.

Two of these roads are goodness and forgiveness.

Men such as this are few.

Madiba was a warrior, a leader, a hero to millions of people Z not only to blacks but to white people too.

He was the father of our nation.

Mr Zuma, prepare yourself.
