The deputy chairperson of the Motheo TVET College in Bloemfontein, Jeremiah Pela (35), is facing fraud charges involving a multi-million rand security tender.

He and his accomplice, Takalani Mongalo (38), have reappeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court for bail application after their first appearance on Wednesday (03/05).

Mongalo works at the Free State Department of Roads and Transport.

Capt. S’fiso Nyakane, spokesperson of the Hawks in the Free State, said the two men were arrested by members of the National Anti-Corruption Unit, Free State Anti-Corruption and Crime Intelligence.
