Charity run aims to entertain and inform

2017-02-15 06:01

The Desperados Motorcycle Club will once again host the annual Kuruman Charity Run at the Mothibistad Sta- dium on Saturday, 25 February.

The action-packed line-up is expec-ted to include extreme bike stunt displays, spin city, bike competitions and a music festival featuring some of the country’s top DJs and music acts.

The biking community will be able to enjoy the unique attractions and warm hospitality of the Northern Cape, while simultaneously raising awareness of motorcycle safety and making a contribution to local communities.

The Northern Cape Tourism Authority (NCTA) expects the event to create economic benefits for the Kuruman community through accommodation and entertainment expenditure.

According to the NCTA, the event is yet another huge opportunity to expose a new target audience to the tourism offerings of the Northern Cape.

It is further an effort to once again assist in promoting the Northern Cape as a destination of choice to adventure sport enthusiasts.

This year, the Desperados Motorcycle Club is celebrating their 12th anniversary and is currently represen-ted in five provinces, including the Northern Cape.

This non-profit organisation aims to promote responsible riding and to provide much-needed support for underprivileged communities.
