More than 300 children from Kimberley, mostly orphans, were surprised through the Santa Shoebox campaign on Friday, 24 November.

In this campaign, the South African Police Service’s (SAPS) Women’s Network and Men for Change worked with the Charitas Welfare Foundation. Father Christmas told the children what Christmas is all about and also gave them safety tips for the coming holiday.

The children were excited to receive a Christmas message from Past. Quintin Kellerman. They also received gifts from the SAPS and Charitas Welfare Foundation and were treated to hamburgers and chips from McDonalds.
