Clash gets wide coverage

SUPERSPORT is lifting the football game of the year to even greater heights with unprecedented coverage of the much-awaited Champions League final between Spanish football giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid on Saturday (28/05). The adrenaline-pumping fixture will be available on all DStv packages, from Premium through to GOtv. And for those unable to watch the television broadcast, live streaming will be available on, plus the SuperSport and DStv Now apps.

Snappy TV, via Twitter, will offer social media highlights, plus there will be live updates on and long- and short-form highlights available on the CatchUp service.

Liverpool legend John Barnes will be part of the studio build-up, while analysts Andy Townsend and Neil Andrews will be reporting live from Stadio San Siro ahead of the 20:45 kick-off.

The studio build-up will start at 19:30 for the English-speaking channels (Select SA and Select Go SA join late due to live sport) and at 20:00 for the Portuguese channels

The countdown to the big match (SS 3/3A/3N) begins tomorrow (26/05), with a season review with highlights from every match through to the semi-finals. On Friday (27/05), past finals will be highlighted, paving the way for the historic football final featuring the Spanish giants – a repeat of the 2014 final which Real won by 4-1 in extra time.

There will also be five-minute highlights of every Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid match in the Champions League this season from 17:30 on match-day.
