Coach displeased with City

2017-04-05 06:02

Bloemfontein Celtic coach Luc Eymael says he is unhappy with the way the management of his former club (Polokwane City) treated him at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday (02/04).

The hosts allegedly prevented the Belgian coach from entering the stadium dressing rooms.

A pending case with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has seen City block their former coach from being a registered member of the Celtic technical team, but Eymael believes he was still within his rights to be in the team’s dressing room.

“They (City management) wanted me to not enter the change rooms,” Eymael told kickoff.com.

“It happened two times: first before the kick-off and secondly at the half-time break. Although the PSL made it clear that I’m allowed to go into the dressing rooms, it’s not good for the clubs and for the image of the PSL. This way it’s no longer football, but war.”
