SOUTH AFRICA’s u.23 men’s football head coach Owen Da Gama still fancies the team could reach the next stage of the Olympics with a win against Iraq in Sao Paulo today (kick-off time is at 03:00 South African time on Thursday).

His lads narrowly lost by 0-1 to Denmark in the second game.

The national team led hosts Brazil to a goalless draw in their tournament opener.

Today’s fixture is a must-win for South Africa to keep alive the dream of making it into the next stage. The top two nations will advance to the last eight.
