QWAQWA. – Malekgotla Matla (18) who hails from the Hasethunya Village in Qwaqwa is ready to defend the Indoni Miss Cultural South Africa title which was won by Puseletso Maloka of Basotho Glen last year.

But the young and dedicated gr. 11 learner of the Mohaladitwe Secondary School in Qwaqwa needs your vote.

With only 16 days left before the final round on 15 October, she is adamant that the Basotho Glen will help her and vote as many times as they can.

Matla will compete against the winners of other glens from different provinces in the Indoni Miss Cultural South Africa 2016 Finale that will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban on 15 October.

The finalist are Unathi Mbatha (Zulu), Diana Shiwarra (Khoisan), Dinalo Dada (Xhosa), Tsholofelo Mfaladi (Tswana), Shiluva Shirindza (Tshonga), Kakgiso Ndema (Thembu), Thembelihle Mpofu (Swati), Tendamudzimu Monyai (Venda), Nelly Ramogale (Pedi), Carry Mthumunye (Ndebele) and Afika Mkhonza (Mpondo).

Matla was crowned the Free State Miss Indoni Culture at the recent camp which was held at the Manthatisi Secondary School in Tsheseng, Qwaqwa.

Matla said, “I would like to ask people to vote in numbers as many times as they can because those votes will help me going forward.

“I know that they love their culture and they are fully behind me.

“But I am begging for your votes,” she said.

She has promised not to disappoint come the final day where the queen will be crowned.
