KFC will join the inaugural Mzansi Super League (MSL) as a proud sponsor of the tournament, which has been taking place since Friday (16/11), and will end on 16 December.

Thabisa Mkhwanazi, KFC public affairs director, said they were proud to be part of the MSL.

“We hope the kids (KFC Mini-Cricket) will continue to enjoy getting active and learning key cricketing and life skills from their local and international heroes, who will be battling it out on the field,” said Mkhwanazi.

Thabang Moroe, chief executive officer of Cricket South Africa, expressed his excitement about the initiative.

“We are thrilled to have KFC on board to join our sponsors, all whom have committed themselves to helping us take Mzansi T20 to the world.”

Through the KFC Mini-Cricket programme, boys and girls engage in teamwork and learn to understand the importance of discipline, team work, tolerance and fair play in sport.

Recently, KFC ran a national competition in which three winning schools joined their cricketing heroes in the KFC T20 International Series against Zimbabwe.

The children had the opportunity to rub shoulders with their Protea heroes.

“We encourage our KFC Mini-Cricket kids to use this experience to make new friends and hope that they create memories that last long after this experience,” concluded Mkhwanazi
