The eagerly-awaited crowning event of the 2018 Mrs South Africa Plus pageant is scheduled for Saturday, 3 November, in the Free State Musicon in Bloemfontein. This is the third time this beauty pageant, which is exclusively for curvy and shapely women, is held. The pageant has two main categories: Miss Plus SA (for single female contestants aged 19 to 40) and the Mrs Plus SA (for married women and divorcees, aged 20 to 45). In total, 18 finalists are in the running for the 2018 Mrs Plus SA crown. The finalists are braced to take to the catwalk to showcase the beauty of plus size. The recipient of the crown will succeed Puleng Direko, 2017 winner, who will officially hand over the crown at the occasion in question. She obtained third position at the Mrs Plus World final and received the special title of Ms Plus Intercontinental Ambassador. The crowing for single women was held in April.
