Donors rewarded

2018-10-17 06:04

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) and Global Citizen have partnered to highlight the importance of donating blood #ForLife.

The drive is aimed at motivating South Africans to donate blood.

Donors qualify to receive free tickets to the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, which will be presented on 2 December in Johannesburg.

According to the SANBS, less than 1% of South African citizens regularly donate blood.

Adding to the predicament is a whole generation of donors who are being lost to aging and health challenges.

To qualify for a double ticket, including flights to the festival, people can donate blood between now and 22 November.
