An exhibition of local journalist Vusi Tukakgomo’s photography can be viewed at the Galeshewe-based Ivuma Arts Centre.

The aim of the display is to honour and celebrate his work.

The exhibition started at the beginning of March and will end on Saturday (31/03).

According to Thusho Mokolare, the chairperson of Ivuma, they saw it fit to give Tukakgomo the recognition because of his role as one of the great preservers of the Galeshewe history.

“Tukakgomo is one of the legends people tend not to talk about as much as they should. We do not only want to recognise his talents after he is gone.him only when he is gone like the norm usually is,” Mokolare said.

Ivuma has been running programmes to honour legends, host historical lectures, tell stories, host book launches, host jazz and hip-hop sessions, and display art to expose Galeshewe’s hidden talent.
