Hit-and-run: Truck driver sought

The Kagisho police appeals to the community of Phuthanang and Promise Land to assist with information in a case of reckless and negligent driving after a man (45) was hit by a truck while riding his bicycle on the John Daka Highway.

It is alleged that the incident took place on Friday, 23 March, at about 05:00, while the victim was on his way to work from his residential place in Promise Land.

According to Sgt Majang Skalkie, police spokesperson, the man had been riding on the John Daka Highway when he was hit by a truck. The driver of the truck did not stop on the accident scene.

“The victim sustained back injuries. He was taken to the Kimberley Hospital for medical treatment,” said Skalkie.

No suspect has been arrested yet.
