Curious bystanders crowded an accident scene on the Dewetsdorp Road after a fatal accident occurred last Tuesday (13/11).

Apparently the victim was hit by a vehicle when trying to cross to the other side of the road which usually has high traffic volume.

Police officers, traffic officers and paramedics carried out their duty in view of a large crowd of people who were standing on both sides of the road where the accident occurred.

Of great concern was to see young children, aged between nine and 14, literally siting inside the distance where the deceased was lying on the ground in left lane of the road.

The mixed crowd of curious adult men and women as well as young children remained on both sides of the road long enough to witness even the start and completion of proceedings by the Forensic Pathology Services.

The police only cleared the crowd at the time the forensics were busy with their investigation at the accident scene.

They ordered everyone, including occupants of the car involved, to stand approximately 15 meters away from where the accident occurred.
