Lenmed’s 11th addition to its group of private hospitals is on track to open its doors to the community of Kimberley and surrounding areas in July.

The management team has been hard at work to ensure the hospital will be ready to welcome its first patients soon.

Hospital manager Hector Mackay has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, boasting tenure as CEO of the hospitals division of a prominent local hospital group as well as international industry experience.

“My team and I are ready to welcome our first patient and ensure their stay with us is as comfortable as possible,” Hector said.

Kimberley local Lana Erasmus is in the position of nursing manager.

She is well accustomed to caring for patients and has gained experience as an intensive care and casualty unit manager.

Hector and Lana have been joined by a knowledgeable, skilled and friendly team who is gearing up to serve the Northern Cape’s medical needs.

The hospital will provide general care to the public with its full array of medical specialists and state-of-the-art maternity, paediatric, medical, surgical, intensive care and neonatal intensive care units.

The facility will also offer procedures through a multitude of theatres, provide 24 hour emergency and outpatient care, as well as deliver supported outsourced services such as radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology and dialysis.

The Lenmed group has over 33 years of experience in managing and owning private healthcare facilities in Southern Africa.

Lenmed currently manages eight hospitals in South Africa, one in Mozambique and one in Botswana.

The Group looks forward to extending its unique brand of patient-focused healthcare to the Kimberley communities and the province.
