Identity a puzzle

The police in Bloemfontein are appealing to members of the public, in and outside the city, who are missing a female family member to contact the police.

This is to help find the next of kin of a deceased African woman whose body was discovered in Willows, Bloemfontein, on Saturday (12/08).

The police are unable to identify the deceased, who is believed to be in her late 20’s.

Capt. Chaka Marope, spokesperson of the Park Road police cluster, says the woman was found in only her underwear and a white T-shirt.

“The deceased’s body was discovered lying prone inside the parking garage at the Noalhof building on the corner of Park Road and Parfitt Avenue,” he says.

Marope says she had minor bruises around her right eye and on her right thigh.

“The cause of death is unknown at this stage and the police are waiting for the autopsy results,” says Marope.

The woman has natural hair, light brown skin, is 1,2 m tall, and is of slender build.

  • On 20 July, another woman was found murdered. Her half-naked body had been abandoned at a soccer pitch in Botshabelo Section H2.

Anyone who has information about this case and the deceased’s family or next of kin can call Det.WO Anton Bauman on 082-468-1624.
