In the quest to revive the nation and the legacy left by late President Nelson Mandela, the deputy minister of the Department of Arts and Culture, Makhotso Maggie Sotyu, engaged with learners and parents of the Xhunkhwesa Combined School in Platfontein.

This formed part of the national Back to School Programme for social cohesion and moral regeneration promotion in historically disadvantaged schools in the Northern Cape.

  • The activities include a national identity competition. The programme will see artists in schools, young patriots and the establishment of school libraries. Read more in the next edition.
