The Northern Cape police seeks the assistance of the community to identify a body that was found.

An unidentified man’s body was discovered on 6 January 2016 near the Swartkop Mine, which is about 25 km from Vioolsdrift.

According to police spokesperson Lt Col. Dimakatso Mooi, the dead body was discovered without any injuries and was fully dressed in long trousers and a black bomber jacket.

The deceased is believed to be in his fifties, of slim build and approximately 1,69 m tall. He has dreadlocks with a beard and is brown in complexion.

Even though he has already been buried as a pauper, anyone who might have know this man, or who has a missing relative with the above-mentioned description, is requested to contact Sgt Willem Losper of Vioolsdrift on 027-761-6543 or 082-448-6543.
