The Lawhill Maritime Centre at Simon’s Town School in the Western Cape, which focuses on maritime education, held its annual awards ceremony on 15 October. Two learners from Zastron, Cassidy Wittels (left) and Yolisa Adoon, received accolades for their performance. With them is Mpumi Dweba-Kwetana, port mana­ger of the Port of Cape Town. Cassidy received a certificate of completion and the Society of Masters Mariners’ book prize for seamanship, while Yolisa received a performance certificate.
