An appeal is made by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Galeshewe for the community to assist them in tracing a suspect who allegedly raped a 31-year-old woman.

The suspect allegedly stabbed and raped the victim while she was on her way home from work on Sunday, 31 December 2017.

“He grabbed her by her clothes and stabbed her in her hand, and then allegedly raped her,” said Sgt Majang Skalkie in a statement.

According to the victim, the incident took place between 13:00 and 15:00

The suspect is approximately 30 to 36 years old, brown in complexion and medium build.

Anyone who can assist to trace the suspect is requested to call the investigating officer, Det. Sgt Bonolo Masao on 084-299-5912.
