Jeug maintains good form in ABC Motsepe

MÔRESTER JEUG’S good form continues in the ABC Motsepe League after they registered their fourth straight victory.

Jeug defeated their cross-town rival mainstay United by 2-1 in the league match that was played at the Danie Kuys Stadium in Upington.

Jeug came to this match as favourites, having been in top form for the past weeks.

More good news for the supporters of the team is that the management has roped in Robert Sebastian, the former Steach United and Kuruman Kicks player, as coach.

The excited Sebastian told Express Northern Cape how his move to Jeug happened.

“After my stint with Kuruman Kicks, a few teams approached me, including Jeug. Their offer made sense to me at the time, because I will be moving to Upington later this year,” he revealed.

The ambitious Upington team, with the help of their new coach, has also added two ex-professional players, Rudiger Gilbert and Mkhayisile Sivahla, to their roster. The duo joins former Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper Kabelo Metsimetsi, who has been with the team since the beginning of the season.

“I have signed quality u.23 players and we have added the experience of Sivahla,” bragged Sebastian.

“Rudiger Gilbert is also registered with the team, but he is busy sorting out his personal issues at the moment.”

Having been with the team for only a few months, the Kimberley-born mentor is already gunning for the play-offs with the quality he has gained in the team. He is adamant that he will not struggle to reach that stage. “I have been in the play-offs with three different clubs, so I have gained a lot of experience from that,” he said.
