The talented and dynamic singer, songwriter and producer Joe Nina will perform at the Windmill Casino’s Diamond Lil’s in Bloemfontein on Friday (11/11) and Saturday (12/11) from 18:00.

Joe says he will be playing guitar and doing vocals.

“I prefer to perform live, as opposed to using backing tracks. Live performances display the creativity of artists and I believe that it also connects the audience to the artist,” says Joe, real name is Makhosini Henry Xaba.

True to his tradition when performing live, he will feature a youthful band.

“I’m working with a youthful and vibrant band. We look forward to inspiring the audience and having fun.”

He says the show is the perfect platform to introduce fans to inspiring songs from his 24 albums over his career, spanning 25 years.

His masterpiece Ding Dong, in the kwaito genre, saw Joe rose to the top of the charts in South Africa in the 1990’s.

Later, he blazed new trails with albums such as Sbali and Nomthandazo.

Joe’s tour to the City of Roses marks his celebration of 25 years in music.

He marked his illustrious career releasing his 24th album, Back Together for Life.

In this latest album, his exploration of South African music genres comes with offerings of township groove, hiphop, reggae and fusion.

“This album exhibits maturity in my music career. In it I promote love and there is a message in every song.”

His exploration in music has seen Joe also collaborate on a project called The Trio with legendary artists Steve Keka and the late Nana Coyote, real name Sietsi Daniel Motijoane of the legendary group, Stimela.

Tickets for Joe’s show are available at the Windmill’s cash desk at R200 per person.

No persons under the age of 18 years will be allowed in the audience.
