MTN JOYOUS CELEBRATION will once again give the Northern Cape a taste of their commemorative show of their 20 years of incredible celebration for fans of all ages, races and creeds.

The tour, initiated by local Zikmo Promotions, promises to serenade the fans with uplifting and exciting gospel sounds from their album Joyous Celebration 20 at the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre on Saturday, 29 October.

According to Zikie Molusi of Zikmo Productions, the tour concludes its Joyous 20th national tour before they head to the USA to record their latest album.

He adds that local fans will finally have an opportunity to experience and demonstrate their love in this year’s festivities, given the overwhelming support demonstrated through sold-out shows across the country.

“An evening of inspiration and entertainment with Joyous Celebration is always a special occasion, the music repertoire ranging from traditional gospel to avant-garde, jazz and rock and this time around, the legions of fans in the Northern Cape can look forward to a spiritually charged evening of praise and worship,” he added.

Many of the patrons always walk away after the show moved by the superior quality of the technical production accompanying the melodies, the choreography made up of the sensational dancing, not to mention the immaculate fashion displayed by the choir members.

The show has so far been heralded, according to Molusi, for attracting multi-denominational church members across all ages, and this has now firmly become a flagship event for local enthusiasts of gospel music.

He says that an opportunity for development of local performing groups forms an integral part of this project.

“On this occasion, the exciting performance will be supported by emerging local groups X ABC Bokang Morena, Manifest in his Presence, Sol Plaatje Municipality Choir and the much-heralded church group Manifest Presence.

“The audiences can certainly look forward to an exciting evening of various genres of gospel music from our local talent when they get the opportunity to demonstrate their individual skills in front of their home crowd.”

Given that October is declared as Transport Month by national government, the gospel group further promises to dedicate part of the performance to the memory of one of the group members who passed away in 2014 after performing in the city.

Thembelihle Mbanjwa (née Sukazi) is one of the members of the gospel group who lost her life in a car accident on her way back to Johannesburg in November 2014 after a performance at the GWK Stadium.

Tickets to the Kimberley concert are now available at Computicket for gallery and floor seating.
