The legendary a cappella group, Amadodana Ase Wesile, will visit Kimberley with the launch of its latest album, Soloko Intliziyo Yam, on Sunday (12/11).

Northern Cape residents are looking forward to this spiritually motivating group who will launch an album in the province for the first time.

The group has recorded 35 albums and has lifted winning trophies eight times during performances at different platforms worldwide.

The group has lost many members due to death, accidents, retirement and health issues.

The current group consists of 15 members.

Although members of Amadodana Ase Wesile has visited the province before, they look forward to this event.

Through various performances in different Northern Cape towns, the group has managed to partner in several fundraising projects to build churches.

Among the successful projects are the construction of the NICC Church, UCCSA, Church of Christ and the Methodist Churches in Barkly West, Warrenton and Kuruman.

The launch will play a huge role in the development of about 20 local artists who will get the opportunity to share the stage.

Local event organiser Daddy Mothibi urges residents to support the launch due to the important role that Amadodana plays towards the development of churches and faith-based organisations.

Tickets for the event are already on sale for R100 at different outlets.
