The Lexus UX is launching in February in South Africa.

The brand new UX name is derived from the design team’s guiding concept and describes the vehicle’s mission: Urban + X-over (crossover) = UX.

The UX embraces the concept of integrating two different ideas to deliver an unprecedented edge in its class.

Introducing the all-new Lexus UX, an Urban Crossover that dares to challenge the limits of what went before, expanding the limits of what will follow.

Its bold lines prove that unmistakable strength does not come with size, that exploration can be elegant and dynamic. The result is a car with a unique presence on the road. With its compact size and excellent turning radius, it’s perfectly crafted for the city.

Who is the target market?

They are young, creative and adventurous. The world is theirs to experience and explore. They move at the pace of their city and draw inspiration from urban culture.

They are highly self-expressive and want a car that represents their style.

Brands are for badging, and SUVs are all about status, and they are looking for ways to better stand out from their peer group.

They are smart about their priorities and seek out value. Luxury and technology that comes standard allows them to spend more money on what matters to them, like travel.

Their identities are fluid, and their self-concepts are congruent. They embrace all the modernity of city living, but never at the cost of forgetting their heritage and culture.

They do their research online before coming into the dealership. Tech and spec is often a big purchase driver and they are always aware of the latest trends and innovation. They expect and demand immediacy and that is how we need to communicate with them.

They are buying into a luxury brand and we need to treat them as high priority clients – customer experience in dealership is vital.

Tech and Spec

The best and latest technology and specifications, a comprehensive seven-year warranty and maintenance plan.

Available in Hybrid and petrol (also available in F SPORT).

The new UX is the nameplate that will draw in new, younger Lexus drivers and needs to be sold with the same youthful enthusiasm that the car exudes Lexus Range.

The UX offers a choice of two state-of-the-art powertrains: A fourth generation Lexus Self-Charging Hybrid in the UX 250h SE which combines class-leading fuel efficiency with extremely smooth front wheel drive performance, and an advanced new 2.0-litre petrol engine in the UX 200 EX and UX 200 F SPORT.
