The Captain DoRegos fast food restaurant in Church Street, Bloemfontein, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month, having outlived many other restaurants that opened in the town during the late 90’s.

The restaurant serves fish, chicken and burgers – all fresh at excellent prices. It has grown into a thriving cluster within the city of Bloemfontein.

For serving customers and meeting customers’ satisfaction, the restaurant received acknowledgement in awards of the Store of the Year on two occasions and Brand Builder of the Year.

“Many thanks to our customers who have given us so much support over the years in increasing numbers,” says Quintin Rodriques, manager, attributing their success to the support and loyalty of dedicated employees.

Two employees who stand out as part of the historic success are Constance Matshaya and Rodriques.

Matshaya started as a cashier at the restaurant 20 years ago and is now part of the management team.

Rodriques started as a manager at the age of 19 and is now the co-owner of the restaurant and another one in the Bloemfontein CBD.

With the growing demand, the restaurant was upgraded a year and a half ago, keeping up with innovative ways of servicing its customers.

The restaurant is keeping up with technological ordering and payment options, and also offers free deliveries within a 5 km radius.

The restaurant stays true to tradition by stocking fresh fish and more and keeps up with the trends in the market.

“Join us on Friday (02/06) at the Church Street branch, as we will be celebrating and giving out lots of prizes,” says Rodriques.
