DE BEERS MINE donated an amount of R10 000 to the AGC Day Care Centre in Colville.

This event took place on Mandela Day, 18 July.

The financial contribution was used to buy educational toys.

According to the communications practitioner for De Beers, Lisa Brugmann, the initiative is most importantly a sign showing that De Beers care and humble themselves to give back to the communities in which they operate.

“Our business evokes the emotion of love and, in recognition of Madiba’s birthday, life and legacy, our 67 minutes was spent serving little humans and touching their hearts in ways immeasurable,” added Brugmann in a statement.
