Miracle Crusade this weekend

THE Christ Embassy Church in Bloemfontein will host the Miracle ­Crusade.

The purpose of this event is to help ­eradicate the social ills that are pre­vailing and rampaging in the communities in the area.

Past. Francis Boakye is expected to attend.

The Miracle Crusade will be presented at the Dr Belcher Sports Field on Friday at 17:00.

The Miss Glamorous Free State pageant will be hosted at the Bloem Show Grounds in the Tulip Hall.

A total of 16 contestants are vying for the crown as Miss Glamorous Free State 2016.

The event is set to start at 18:00, with a host of celebrities ­expected to attend, some of these who will participate as judges.

These well-known personalities include Somgaga, Pitchov Kumwimba, Dipalesa Mbola and Donald.

Tickets, which cost R110, are available from Computicket outlets.

30 September to 2 October

Several year-groups and former learners of the Mampoi High School in Qwaqwa (the classes of 1975 to 1982), will hold a reunion on Saturday.

The event starts on Friday with a dinner, followed by the big reunion celebration on 1 October, starting at 10:00.

A great number of former learners and teachers are expected to attend the occasion.

The school has a significant history, not only in producing academics, but ­also in being named after Mampoi, the wife of the late Dr Tsiame Kenneth Mopeli, former prime minister of the defunct homeland.

Donations of R300 from class members are requested and proceeds will go towards the school’s fund.
