Murder accused Sindephi Sheldon Ndleleni (39) has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for murdering Ntshehiseng Lebetsa on 12 October 2015. He was sentenced on Thursday (16/03) by the Bloemfontein High Court.

Ndleleni stabbed Lebetsa to death after an argument about a bigger place to stay. Lebetsa told Ndleleni that she wanted to focus on her three children, then aged 11, 6 and 3. Ndleleni then killed her with a knife.

Sgt Sinah Mpakane, provincial police spokesperson, said Ndleleni murdered Lebetsa just six weeks after he was released on parole. He had previously been sentenced to 10 years for culpable homicide for killing the mother of an ex-girlfriend and five years for the attempted murder of the ex-girlfriend.
