The Brotherhood of St Andrew, Diocese of the Free State, will be hosting the 2019 National Assembly in Bloemfontein from 29 November till 1 December.

Proceedings of the three-day event will take place at the Naval Hill Lodge and at the Holy Cross Anglican Church in Phahameng where invited guest speakers are expected to address members.

The theme is Christ the Head of Church and A Healthy Man, Head of the Family.

The Brotherhood of St Andrew is the men’s Guild in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.

The Guild is currently operating in Anglican Churches in South Africa (the Free State and Gauteng) and Lesotho.

Its core purpose of existence is to pray, study the Bible and serve communities helping to strengthen families.

Gaongalelwe Makhetha, Free State: Diocesan President, said members will embark on outreach projects as part of serving the communities.

These will see members visiting the shelter for unemployed men in Hamilton on 30 November.

They will march in support of World Aids Day on 1 December.
